When will the corona virus end? WHO hopes by giving the example of Spanish flu

People around the world are currently affected by the Corona epidemic. Everyone is waiting for this disease to end soon. The good thing is that soon the vaccine will be available for the common people. Meanwhile, World Health Organization (WHO) chief General Tedros Gabrias has made a big statement about the end of the corona epidemic. He says that the epidemic may end in two years. Giving the example of the Spanish flu that spread in the year 1918, he said that it had taken two years to even finish. We have a lot of technology available today, so it may be that it is finished in a short time.

During a virtual press conference at the headquarters in Geneva, Tedros said that today we have the technology and the knowledge to stop the epidemic. He said that looking at the history, the epidemics spread due to changes in the economy and society. The organization has also praised India's efforts to combat the Corona epidemic.

Dr. Mike Ryan, executive director of the WHO's Health Disaster Program, said that corona cases in India are doubling in three weeks. The epidemic situation is not yet explosive in the densely populated countries of Bangladesh, Pakistan and South Asia, but there is a danger of this happening. He warned that if the infection starts at the community level then it will spread very fast.

Dr. Ryan said that the movement of people has resumed in India, in which there is a danger of increasing infection. At the same time, WHO Chief Scientist Dr. Soumya Swaminathan said that the total number of corona cases in India is not very high according to the population of 130 crores, but it is important to keep an eye on the rate and pace of infection.

In response to a question, Tedros said, PPE related corruption is a big crime. It is like murder, it cannot be accepted at all. If health workers are working without PPE kits then they are risking their lives for us. Corruption in PPE is like risking the lives of health workers.

The World Health Organization has praised India's efforts to control the corona infection. However, WHO has also said that there is a risk of infection in India, so one needs to be careful. While praising the Ayushman Bharat scheme, the WHO has said that it will help in dealing with Corona.
